1. Join ship as Deck Cadet 2. Complete onboard training (18 months) 3. Appear for 2nd Mate COC Exam (Certificate of Competency) 4. Get promoted to 3rd Officer 5. Then to 2nd Officer, Chief Officer 6. Finally become Captain after clearing Master’s COC Exam

Promotion Depends On:

Sea-time experience (months spent on board)
• Passing COC exams by DG Shipping / UK Maritime Authorities .

B.Sc. Nautical Science (Deck Officer)

* Qualification: 12th pass with Physics, Chemistry, and Math (PCM)
* Minimum marks: 60% in PCM, 50% in English (in 10th or 12th)
* Age limit: 18 to 25 years
* Medical: Good eyesight (6/6), no color blindness, physically fit
